Job summary

ViaQuest is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes around Northwest Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Training is provided, with no prior experience required. The role pays $15.75 per hour and offers a pathway to numerous benefits.

Responsibilities include direct care, teaching daily living skills, and ensuring a clean, safe living environment. A valid Indiana driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and car insurance.
• Personal vehicle available for transporting individuals served.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Experience in developmental disabilities or direct care preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities to promote independence and safety.
• Teach and assist individuals in daily living activities.
• Perform household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.

At ViaQuest Community Solutions we provide quality support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes . As a DSP, Training for this position is provided in its entirety sono experience is required.

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid (Indiana) driver's license and car insurance. Limited "non-driving" positions available.
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
• Experience in the field of developmental disabilities or direct care is preferred but not required.
