Job summary

Thrive Community Support Services (Thrive CSS) is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and communities. You will follow individualized plans, promote independence, and help participants engage in daily activities.

We value compassionate, reliable people who can work independently within a supportive team, with training provided. Flexible scheduling and part-time/full-time opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Must pass PA background clearances.

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines like meals, personal care, and household tasks.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and self-advocacy.
• Assist with community activities, employment, and social engagement.
• Follow individualized support plans and health/behavioral strategies.
• Ensure safety, dignity, and respect at all times.
• Document and communicate with supervisors as required.

• Communicate with supervisors and complete basic documentation

Who We’re Looking For

• Kind, dependable, and patient individuals who genuinely care.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

• Required to pass PA background clearances.

• Comfortable working independently while part of a team

• Experience is a plus—but not required (we provide training)

Many great DSPs come from backgrounds in caregiving, education, healthcare, or simply from having a big heart.
