Job summary

Center for Developmental Disabilities, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with differing abilities in community and site settings. The role emphasizes safety, advocacy, and teamwork, with weekend shifts and supportive team environments.

Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma, AMAP/SCIP certifications, and a valid NYS driver's license. Benefits include PTO, holidays, and retirement plan options, along with tuition assistance and ongoing training

Qualifications

• Complete and maintain AMAP and SCIP certification, as per CDD policy.
• Able to stand and bend throughout the day.
• Able to sit for an extended period of time.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid NYS Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• It is the responsibility of the DSP to ensure that all individuals at their site receive support that is consistent.
• It is the responsibility of the DSP to advocate for those they support.
• It is the responsibility of the DSP to participate in trainings that will help them better understand and support those they work with.
• It is the responsibility of the DSP to work as part of a team at their site(s) to ensure the best support for individuals and to achieve mutual goals.

Job description

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a sign-on bonus of $1,000. This position is eligible for rate differentials, with total hourly compensation starting at $20.00/hour and reaching up to $21.50/hour (depending on role & shift).
