Job summary

Dungarvin Inc is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct support to individuals with IDD and related needs. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, community engagement, and documentation, while promoting independence and choice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Valid driveraces and auto insurance
• Experience with documentation
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Willingness to assist with personal cares and ADLs

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with IDD and/or behavioral needs.
• Assist with activities of daily living and community activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment.
• Promote independence and person-centered supports.
• Support ISPs and document progress.
• Observe changes and communicate with supervisors.
• Transport individuals to appointments and activities; complete timely documentation

Job Description

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs.
• Assistwith activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development.
• Support individuals in achieving goals andobjectivesoutlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress accordingly.
• Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members.
• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed.Completeaccurateandtimelyelectronic documentationin accordance withprogram and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required (Must-Have)

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Willingness toassistindividuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods
• Ability tolift upto 50lbs

• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
