Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work closely with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will support daily living activities, promote independence, and document progress in ISPs, while ensuring a safe living environment and community engagement.

This role offers training, opportunities for growth, and a comprehensive benefits package. A flexible schedule may include some weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living, housing tasks, meal prep, budgeting, and community activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment and promote independence.
• Support ISPs and document progress.
• Observe and communicate changes to supervisors and team members.
• Transport individuals to appointments and activities; complete timely documentation.

Job Description

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs.
• Assistwith activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development.
• Support individuals in achieving goals andobjectivesoutlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress accordingly.
• Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members.
• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed.Completeaccurateandtimelyelectronic documentationin accordance withprogram and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required (Must-Have)

• Minimum of 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods
• Ability tolift upto 50lbs
