Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Cortland, Ohio. This on-site, part-time role offers paid training and flexible schedules, with no prior experience required.

You will provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assist with daily living activities and help maintain a safe, comfortable home environment. A valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable vehicle are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid OH driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs, and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.

At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety sono experience is required.
