Job summary

Ability Matters in Columbus, OH is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help individuals with autism and other neurological disabilities build independence and confidence in real-world settings. Starting pay is $17/hour, with full-time & part-time options across 1st-3rd shifts and weekends. No experience?

Paid training and coaching are provided. You’ll work closely with a supportive team to promote skills, inclusion, and community participation while helping people pursue meaningful

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's preferred)
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Ohio driver's license
• Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance

Responsibilities

• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, hygiene, and budgeting.
• Participate in activities, events, volunteering, and other real-world experiences.
• Encourage people to reach their goals and build independence.
• Build relationships and encourage communication, social skills, and self-advocacy.
• Help individuals enjoy their community and pursue opportunities that matter to them.
• Model positive behavior and healthy communication.
• Work with a supportive team to provide safe, high-quality care.

Schedule: Full-Time & Part-Time | 1st, 2nd, 3rd Shift & Weekend Opportunities
