Job summary

Amergis is seeking Direct Support Personnel I to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges in homes or communities, following the Individual Service Plan. You will help with daily living activities and develop interpersonal skills in a supportive setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to prioritize tasks, and state/federal requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health Certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks.

• Assist individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges.
• Support growth and development of interpersonal skills.
• Assist with activities of daily living and adaptive skills.
• Follow the Individual Service Plan guidance.

Job description

The Direct Support Personnel I assists individuals withintellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth anddevelopment of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in the home,community or residential setting. The Direct Support Personnel I works directlywith the resident and provides supports for activities of daily living andadaptive skills. The Direct Support Personnel I should follow the guidance ofthe resident/ patients Individual Service Plan.
