Job summary

Abilities Network is seeking full-time Direct Support Professionals in the Baltimore Metro region to transport individuals to community activities, jobs, and events. A valid driver's license, car insurance, and access to a personal vehicle are required since driving is an essential function of the role.

The starting pay is $18.00 per hour, non-negotiable, with a $20 per pay auto allowance and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college is preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Access to daily use of personal vehicle to travel within assigned region.
• Excellent understanding of time management.
• Ability to develop solutions and build relationships using community resources.

Responsibilities

• Transport individuals to community activities, volunteer opportunities, job sites and events.
• Provide on-the-job coaching to help individuals become independent on the job.
• Deliver customized services tailored to each individual's preferences and personal goals.
• Encourage development of interpersonal skills.
