Abilities Network in Montgomery County, Maryland seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our team. You will support individuals with neurodiversity to work toward personalized goals in the community.

This full-time role includes a $20.00/hour starting wage, mileage reimbursement, and a $20 auto allowance per pay period, with a schedule of Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:30pm and occasional evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and access to daily use of a personal vehicle to travel throughout Montgomery County, MD.
• Ability to transport individuals to community activities and employment opportunities using your vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in working toward personal independence by supporting the learning of new skills.
• Transport individuals to community activities and employment opportunities.
• Deliver customized services tailored to each individual's preferences and goals.
• Provide on-the-job coaching to promote independence on the job.
• Encourage the development of interpersonal skills.
