Job summary

Jubilee Association of Maryland seeks Direct Support Professionals to enable adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently and thrive in their communities. You will follow person-centered plans, support daily living, and help participants achieve personal goals with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities include daily in-home support, community activities, documentation, and teamwork with a faith-based nonprofit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a direct support professional is a plus, but not required.
• Commitment to Jubilee’s core values of respect, dignity and self-determination.
• Computer skills for using email and online data systems.
• Current U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support provides in-person daily support for adults with IDD in homes and communities per person-centered plans.
• Assist with social activities, relationships, community engagement, and daily living tasks.
• Support in shopping, cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, and transportation.
• Administer medications, attend medical/dental visits as needed.
• Document services, progress on goals, and incidents per Jubilee policy.
• Maintain communication with supervisor, colleagues, and families; participate in meetings.
