Job summary

Ability Beyond is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Chappaqua, NY to assist adults with intellectual, developmental, physical, and behavioral health needs in residential and community settings, helping build life skills and independence. We welcome individuals with compassion and motivation.

Paid training is provided; a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required to support clients in the field.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands on support with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, hygiene, dressing, and mobility
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, toileting, and medication reminders as needed
• Support individuals in developing independent living skills such as budgeting, communication, and meal planning
• Provide transportation to medical appointments, errands, and community outings
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and volunteer activities such as fitness, crafts, Special Olympics, and community events
• Implement behavioral support strategies and use de escalation techniques when needed
• Collaborate with nurses, behaviorists, nutritionists, and other clinical team members to provide well rounded care
• Assist with goal planning, progress tracking, and skill development
• Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and daily activities

Direct Support Professional | No Experience Required

Pay Rate: $20.25 to $20.75 per hour

Locations: Multiple programs Located in Chappaqua NY

Schedule: Monday through Friday, guaranteed fulltime hours
