Ability Beyond is hiring a Direct Support Professional to provide hands-on support to adults with varying needs in residential and community settings. This role emphasizes developing life skills, supporting independence, and promoting community engagement.

No prior experience is required as paid training is provided. The position offers full-time schedules across multiple programs with opportunities for growth and a supportive, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to learn with no prior experience required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands on support with daily living activities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, toileting, and medication reminders as needed.
• Develop independent living skills such as budgeting, communication, and meal planning.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments, errands, and community outings.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and volunteer activities.
• Implement behavioral support strategies and de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Collaborate with nurses, behaviorists, nutritionists, and the clinical team.
• Assist with goal planning, progress tracking, and skill development.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services and activities.

Direct Support Professional | No Experience Required

Pay Rate: $20.25 to $20.75 per hour

Locations: Multiple programs across Westchester County, Putnam County, and Dutchess County

Schedule: Guaranteed set fulltime schedules available including first, second, and third shifts, as well as weekends.

What You Will Do

• Provide hands on support with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, hygiene, dressing, and mobility

• Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and daily activities
