Job summary

Access, Incorporated is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our Day Habilitation team. The DSP assists individuals to meet personal goals, increase independence, and participate in community activities under the HCBS Coordinator's guidance.

Starting pay is $14.00 per hour. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, with no holidays or weekends. Must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Iowa driver's license with background check completed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Successful completion of background check.
• Prior Direct Support Professional experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to achieve their personal needs and goals.
• Increase independence and encourage community involvement.
• Design and implement programming to meet members' needs and personal choices.

The DSP plays a vital role in supporting individuals achieving their personal needs and goals, increase independence and experience community involvement. The DSP is responsible under the direction of the HCBS Coordinator to design and implement programming designed to meet the member's needs and personal choices and to foster and encourage positive life experiences. You will be required to work as a team to develop and implement various activities, life experiences, opportunities and community involvement to enrich persons served and contribute to personal growth.

Requirements

At minimum you must have the following:

Must be 18 years old

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Valid Iowa Driver's License (must maintain)

Successful completion of background check

Prior DSP experience preferred but not required

Schedule:
