Job summary

Staten Island JCC is seeking a full-time Day Habilitation Assistant in New York. This role involves engaging participants in social activities and assisting with daily living skills. Candidates should have experience in a human service environment and a valid NY State Driver’s License. The position offers a salary of $30,000 - $35,000 annually, along with comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, a pension, and generous time off. Qualifications

• Must have a valid NY State Driver’s License.
• Experience within a human service related environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage the participants in appropriate social conversations and self-awareness.
• Assist participants with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Communicate program needs to Director in a timely manner.
• Transport individuals to and from program.
• Maintain daily and monthly records in accordance with guidelines.

Skills

Experience in a human service related environment

Valid NY State Driver’s License

Education

BA/BS degree in Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
