Job summary

A community center in New York is seeking an individual to assist participants in daily activities and promote social skills in a supportive environment. Responsibilities include engaging participants in conversations, maintaining records, and providing transportation to and from the program. A valid NY State Driver’s License and experience in human services are required. The position offers a salary of $35,000 to $37,000 annually and a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Must be able to transport individuals to and from the program in agency vehicles.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Engage participants in appropriate social conversations and self-awareness.
• Maintain daily and monthly records according to regulatory guidelines.

Skills

Valid NY State Driver’s License

Experience in a human service related environment

Education

BA/BS degree in Special Education, Social Work, Psychology or a related field
