Job summary

Association for Individual Development (AID) is seeking a Direct Support Professional for Community Day Services in Elgin, IL. The role involves one-to-one client support, implementation of plans, and participation in daily activities and community outings to promote client goals.

The DSP will work under supervision to deliver behavioral and medical supports, document activities, and contribute to an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care for individuals with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• High School graduate/GED transcript required.
• Experience with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
• Autonomy and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support and supervision as defined in plans.
• Engage clients in daily, meaningful activities in various settings.
• Maintain a safe environment and respond to emergencies.
• Document accurately and timely.
• Work as part of the interdisciplinary team to meet client needs.
