Job summary

United and Empowered is seeking compassionate caregivers for Day Support and Community Engagement roles in Lynchburg, Virginia. These full-time positions run weekdays 8 am–5 pm, with a $14–$15/hour pay and a new hire sign-on bonus of $250 after 90 days and a further $250 after 6 months.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, guiding individuals, promoting independence, and completing data collection per the person-centered plan.

Qualifications

• Active caregiving experience or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to engage with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Excellent communication and observation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with physical care, guidance and outreach in the Community.
• Help individuals develop acceptable habits and meet outcomes; ensure health and safety.
• Complete data collection per the person-centered plan and respond to behavioral needs.
