Belove It Care seeks a dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a young adult male in Maple Heights, Ohio. This role emphasizes coaching, daily living skills, and accountability rather than hands-on care.

You will provide verbal prompting, reinforce hygiene and routines, and help develop independent living skills with structured guidance. The position is part-time and requires calm communication, boundaries, and reliable transportation for community activities if needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide calm redirection.
• Patient, consistent, and able to maintain professional boundaries.
• Reliable transportation (if community outings are required).
• Ability to work assigned part‑time shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide verbal prompting and redirection to support daily routines.
• Reinforce hygiene, grooming, and self-care expectations.
• Support development of independent living skills, including light household tasks and organization.
• Encourage healthy habits and appropriate decision‑making.
• Assist with community engagement and social activities as needed.
• Maintain structure, consistency, and clear boundaries.
• Document progress, behaviors, and goal‑related updates accurately.
• Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized support plans.
