Job summary

Visiting Angels of Central Maryland is hiring in-home caregivers to support seniors in their homes. Starting pay is $18 per hour with overtime opportunities and short shifts up to $25 per hour.

The role focuses on one-on-one care, companionship, and maintaining a safe living environment across multiple Baltimore-area communities. Ideal candidates have CNA I/II certification or relevant caregiving experience, a valid driver's license, and CPR/TB clearance.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old
• 6+ months professional caregiving experience or family caregiver experience (supporting a loved one) or active CNA I/II certification
• Valid driver’s license and insured personal vehicle (in most areas)
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• Current CPR certification
• Current negative TB test results

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting/incontinence care, meal prep, medication reminders, laundry, and light housekeeping)
• Provide companionship and meaningful, respectful conversation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
• Demonstrate kindness, professionalism, and reliability on every shift
• Communicate clearly with clients, families, and agency staff
