Job summary

Visiting Angels of Central Maryland is hiring compassionate In-Home Caregivers to provide one-on-one support for seniors in clients' homes across the Washington, DC area. Immediate openings with flexible schedules; starting pay is $18/hour with overtime opportunities up to $25/hour.

We welcome candidates with CNA I/II certification or relevant personal/professional caregiving experience. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, same-day pay, overtime/holiday pay, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old.
• 6+ months professional caregiving experience or family caregiver experience (supporting a loved one) or active CNA I/II certification.
• Valid driver’s license and insured personal vehicle (in most areas).
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current negative TB test results.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting/incontinence care, meal prep, medication reminders, laundry, and light housekeeping).
• Provide companionship and meaningful, respectful conversation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Demonstrate kindness, professionalism, and reliability on every shift.
• Communicate clearly with clients, families, and agency staff.
