Dungarvin in Eugene, Oregon, is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate, person-centered care in residential settings. You will support residents with daily living tasks, safety, and dignity while promoting independence and community involvement.

The role is full-time, with rotating day and overnight shifts; you will attend two weeks of paid orientation and training, and you will join a team committed to respect, quality care, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of DSP/Caregiving experience required.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver Float provides direct care for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) within residential group homes in Eugene/Springfield.

This is a full time, permanent position. Schedule for shifts will change based on needs of programs, however schedules are given two weeks in advance (no oncall responsibilities). Must be able to work swing/overnight shifts.

This position requires a dependable candidate who is flexible in their schedule, works well independently, and has exceptional communication and decision-making skills. Float DSPs are adaptable and will have the necessary skill set to be able to work at multiple homes.

Qualifications

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 1+ years of DSP/Caregiving experience is required. Experience in residential setting and with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license & vehicle to travel between programs and provide transportation to clients
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule (open availability and weekendsis required)
• Must be able to work either swing/overnight shift schedule.
• Must be able and willing to learn different supports, from medical to behavioral
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to provide references
• Able to attend two weeks of PAID in-house orientation and training
• Have a passion to help others through person-centered care
• People-oriented and have a team approach
• Dependable, adaptable, and flexible
• Good communication is key in this role. You’ll rely on your reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with both internal and external team members.

Successful candidates will be required to meet all Oregon State Department of Human Services requirements
