Job summary

Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Marcellus, NY for part-time work (about 10 hours/week) to assist a 24-year-old male in exercising and engaging in community activities. Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with relevant experience.

He likes watching movies, videos on YouTube, reading books, going for walks/runs, looking at pictures, and baking. The ideal candidate is active, patient, engaging, attentive, and willing to travel to different locations. The ideal candidate must also be willing to provide personal care when needed, redirect behaviors and responses, and support regulation. The ideal candidate should be very active and able to run.This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.Hours and days of work: 10 hours per week, flexible days with a pick up anytime after 10:00am.Starting pay: Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.Location: Marcellus, NYMust have a valid drivers licenseEffective communication and organizational skills required.Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
