Job summary

Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist a 69-year-old in Baldwinsville, NY with community activities and time management. This 1:1, part-time role offers flexible hours between 8:00am and 3:00pm on Mondays or Fridays, with starting pay of $19.25/hour and potential hours as services expand.

The ideal candidate is patient, creative, and engaging, able to travel to different locations, provide some personal care when needed, assist mobility, and comply with Indera's technology

Qualifications

• Must have technology available to download multiple apps and follow policy.
• Experience with individuals who have developmental disabilities preferred.

He enjoys meeting new people and making new friends. He enjoys going to flea/farmer’s markets, thrift stores, going out to eat, playing pool, fishing, gardening, travelling, and cars. He also enjoys spending time at the local senior center. The ideal candidate is patient, creative, engaging, and willing to travel to different locations. The ideal candidate must also be willing to provide some personal care when needed, be able to support someone with their mobility, and lift.This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.Hours and days of work: 6 hours between 8:00am and 3:00pm on Mondays or FridaysStarting pay: Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.Location: Baldwinsville, NYMust have a valid driver's licenseMust be at least 18 years old.Effective communication and organizational skills required.Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
