Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in Brentwood, CA seeks a Direct Support Professional to promote health, safety and well-being for individuals with developmental disabilities. This full-time role involves advocacy to improve quality of life and requires a valid DSP certificate and driver’s license.

Responsibilities include planning daily routines, assisting with personal care, meals, and transportation when needed.

Qualifications

• DSP Certificate – Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.

• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients (visual and active) as written in the Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

The Direct Support Professional supports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients.

Essential Functions:
