Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals for our Alloway, NJ program. No experience required — paid training will be provided. Schedule includes nights and weekends (Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun 12a-8a). Pay starts at $19.13/hr, with an Enhanced Pay option bringing it to $21.13/hr.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• 1 year experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
• Dual Diagnosis experience is preferred.
• NADD DSP Certification training within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide mentorship, encouragement, and coaching to individuals to achieve goals.
• Follow procedures under the supervision of the House Manager and document observations and progress.
• Support residents to enhance independence and navigate daily living tasks.

Pay Rate- $19.13/hr or $21.13 with the selection of Enhanced Pay

Our ideal DSP candidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on their individuals lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. Be a part of fostering a true sense of pride in your individual by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry. Your work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager who reviews results through living area observation of activities in progress, residents' responsiveness, inspection of living area, reports, and periodic meetings. Make a difference in the life of those you work with to enhance their independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
