Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Trenton, NJ. No experience required—we provide PAID training. Pay rate is $19.13/hour, with enhanced pay at $21.13/hour.

As a DSP, you will assist individuals with daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry, and support their independence under the supervision of a House Manager. Join a team that values care, mentorship, and positive outcomes for those we serve.

Qualifications

• No experience required; paid training provided.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D. required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• 1 year experience with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
• NADD DSP Certification training within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and daily routines.
• Help with housekeeping, laundry, and personal care tasks.
• Encourage independence and self-advocacy under supervision.
• Document progress and communicate with House Manager.

Our ideal DSP candidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on their individuals lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. Be a part of fostering a true sense of pride in your individual by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry. Your work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager who reviews results through living area observation of activities in progress, residents' responsiveness, inspection of living area, reports, and periodic meetings. Make a difference in the life of those you work with to enhance their independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
