Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals to join our Mullica Hill, NJ program. No experience required as PAID training is provided. Schedule includes 3pm-11pm Mon Tue Wed and 9am-9pm Sun with upfront sign-on opportunities and competitive pay.

As a DSP you will support individuals with daily living activities, encourage independence, and help with housekeeping and laundry under supervision, while fostering dignity, respect, and growth in a nurturing team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver's license or have reliable transportation (prefer candidates have their own).
• Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities to enhance independence.
• Support individuals with housekeeping and laundry as part of daily routines.
• Provide compassionate, mentoring and coaching to promote goals and growth.
• Work under supervision of House Manager with progress reviews.

Pay Rate- $18.13/hr or $20.13 with the selection of Enhanced Pay

Our ideal DSP candidatewill have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on their individuals lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. Be a part of fostering a true sense of pride in your individual by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry. Your work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager who reviews results through living area observation of activities in progress, residents' responsiveness, inspection of living area, reports, and periodic meetings. Make a difference in the life of those you work with to enhance their independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
