Job summary

Arc of San Diego is seeking a Direct Support Professional Aide to provide hands-on support to individuals with developmental disabilities in day programs and residential settings. You will assist with personal care, daily living activities, and community engagement to help individuals reach goals and increase independence. Location: 3030 Market St, San Diego, CA 92102.

Schedule: Mon–Fri 8:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Pay: $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred
• Six months experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
• Ability to provide person-centered support in a respectful and inclusive way

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care, meals and mobility
• Encourage participation in daily activities and community outings
• Document daily activities and progress using case management software
• Collaborate with a team to support goal achievement and independence

About the Role:

Are you passionate about making a positive impact? As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Aide, you’ll provide hands‑on support to individuals with developmental disabilities in both day programs and residential settings. Working closely with a team, you will assist with personal care, daily living activities, and community engagement to help individuals achieve their goals and enhance their independence.

Location: 3030 Market St. San Diego CA 92102

Schedule: Mon- Fri 8:30a-3p

Pay: The pay for this position is $18.00 to $18.00.

A typical day will include:

• Assisting individuals with personal care, meals, and mobility support.

• Helping individuals build relationships and develop independence.
• Documenting daily activities and progress using case management software.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six (6) months experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to provide person-centered support in a respectful and inclusive way.

We’d love it if you:

• Are bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Have experience using case management systems (Therap preferred).
