Job summary

Carey Services, Inc is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with disabilities in a group home setting in Upland, IN. This full-time role involves assisting with daily living tasks, transportation, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Must have love for people and desire to help them.
• Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have basic math and English writing knowledge.
• Must be able to wear PPE and follow safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Help create a meaningful day for the individual you are partnered with.
• Help the individual become more independent and achieve goals.
• Assist with daily living tasks (e.g., grooming, meals, restroom use).
• Support social, recreation and community engagement.
• Administer medications as trained and authorized.
• Build trust and support the individual in daily activities.
