Carey Services, Inc in Wabash, IN is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support individuals with disabilities in the community. The role focuses on promoting independence, daily living skills, and community participation in a compassionate, person-centered environment.

We offer meaningful, purpose-driven work, ongoing training, and opportunities for growth within a supportive team. This position is part-time and located on site in Wabash, with flexible shift options.

Formación

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, adequate automobile insurance, and meet agency insurability requirements.
• Must be able to learn basic principles of teaching; good basic mathematical computation and English Language writing knowledge.
• Physical requirements include walking, bending, standing for extended periods, lifting or transferring individuals to and from wheelchairs, and wearing PPE as required.
• Must follow safety and universal precautions practices during a pandemic and other times; basic first aid and health & safety knowledge may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Help create a meaningful day for individuals served.
• Support individuals to become more independent and achieve their goals.
• Assist with daily living tasks (hygiene, bathroom, cleaning, eating).
• Help individuals participate in their community and celebrate achievements.
• Promote growth in life skills and community involvement.
• Transport individuals to and from facilities following safety regulations.
• Engage in arts, crafts, games, and activities with individuals.
• Maintain timely and accurate records for billing, notes and documentation.
