Job summary

Avancer Homes LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our team at the Persimmon CILA home in Genoa, Illinois. We offer full-time and part-time roles with starting pay up to $16.00–$26.00 per hour, based on experience, and a $1000 sign-on bonus.

As a DSP you will provide personal assistance to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities, support daily living, and promote growth in a caring, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• DSP certification or the ability to become certified through our paid training.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Transportation to shifts.
• Lift 50 lbs.
• Pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care needs – all ADL’s.
• Assist with household tasks, meal preparation, cooking and cleaning; maintain a safe and healthy home environment that promotes learning.
• Monitor individuals and provide redirection as needed.
• Document individuals’ activities, concerns and progress notes as required.
• Participate in in- and out-of-home activities which may include driving company vehicles.
• Provide an abuse- and neglect-free environment at all times.
