Job summary

Avancer Homes LLC - Genesis Day Training Center LLC is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our teams at Persimmon CILA home in Genoa, Illinois. We offer up to $16.00–$25.00 per hour based on experience, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and opportunities for full-time or part-time employment.

DSPs provide personal care, assist with daily living, and support residents with developmental or intellectual disabilities in a supportive, rewarding environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain DSP certification through our paid training.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Reliable transportation to shifts.
• Lift 50 lbs as part of duties.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care needs – all ADLs.
• Perform household tasks, meal prep, cooking and cleaning to keep a safe, learning-friendly home.
• Monitor individuals and provide redirection as needed.
• Document activities, concerns and progress notes as required.
• Participate in activities inside and outside the home, may drive company vehicles.
• Maintain an Abuse and Neglect free environment at all times.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Requirements

• DSP certified or the ability to become certified through our paid training
• At least 18 years of age
• Transportation to your shifts
• Lift 50 lbs
• Pass a criminal background check

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Duties

• Assist individuals with personal care needs – all ADL’s
• Assisting with all household task, meal preparation cooking and cleaning; maintain a safe and healthy home environment that encourage learning.
• Monitor individuals and engage in redirection.
• Document individual’s activities, concerns and progress notes as required.
• Participate in and out-of-home activities which may include driving company vehicles.
• Provide an Abuse and Neglect free environment at all times.
