Dungarvin is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide direct, person-centered care to individuals with developmental or medical needs in a home-like setting. The role emphasizes dignity, respect, and independence, with assignments including caregiving, safety, and daily living support, as well as documentation tasks.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required (due to transporting persons served).
• Must be comfortable driving to transport persons served as required.
• Some positions/locations may require your own personal vehicle and auto liability insurance based on the role.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for Helping Others.
• Physical stamina to stay on your feet, walk, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• A successful background clearance is required as part of the onboarding/employment process.
• Basic computer skills for tracking progress and documentation.
• Good communication is key in this role. You'll rely on your reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with both internal and external team members

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on caregiving assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities.
