Dungarvin in Kokomo, IN is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct support and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them live as independently as possible with dignity.

This role requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work some weekends and holidays. Competitive benefits, sign-on bonus, and 401(k) matching are offered. Training provided; growth opportunities; mileage reimbursement.

The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

• Provide hands-on caregiving assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties

Qualifications

What Makes You A Great Fit

• Valid driver's license required (due to transporting persons served)
• Candidates must be comfortable driving to transport persons served as required
  • Some positions/locations may require your own personal vehicle and auto liability insurance based on the role
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Passion for Helping Others
• Physical stamina to stay on your feet, walk, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• A successful background clearance is required as part of the onboarding/employment process
• Basic computer skills for tracking progress and documentation.
• Good communication is key in this role. You'll rely on your reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with both internal and external team members
