Job summary

The Opportunity Tree seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for its Day Programs in Maricopa, AZ. This full‑time role focuses on supporting Members with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting independence and life skills.

Responsibilities include health and safety supervision, daily living skills instruction, transportation coordination, and documentation. Requirements: 18+, valid driver license, English communication, IDD field experience, high school diploma or GED, basic MS

Qualifications

Minimum age 18+.
Driver license with clean MVR as per carrier requirements.
Communicate in English; speech, write, read.

Responsibilities

Supervise Members’ health, safety, and daily living activities.
Coordinate instruction and supervision of basic daily living skills and recreational events.
Encourage Members to develop positive interpersonal skills.
Coordinate transportation and accompany Members as per Plan.
Ensure medication procedures and physician orders are followed.
Develop, implement, and monitor each Member’s program.
Communicate progress to staff in a timely manner.
Maintain records and documentation per timelines.
Maintain a safe home environment per licensing standards.
