Job summary

The Opportunity Tree is seeking a Direct Support Professional for our Day Programs in Maricopa, AZ. You will support Members with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them build everyday living skills and independence in a supportive team setting.

Responsibilities include supervising health and safety, assisting with daily activities, coordinating transportation, and maintaining documentation. A positive attitude and reliability are essential for this critical nonprofit role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and have a valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Speak, read, and write English.
• IDA field experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills: MS Outlook/Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Members’ health, safety, and daily living activities.
• Coordinate instruction and supervision of daily living skills and recreational events.
• Encourage Members to develop positive interpersonal skills.
• Coordinate transportation and accompany Members as per plan.
• Ensure adherence to medication procedures and physician orders.
• Develop, implement, and monitor each Member’s program.
• Communicate progress and issues to staff in a timely manner.
• Maintain Member and household records and documentation on time.
