Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. in Titusville, PA, is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate, person-centered care to adults with developmental disabilities in home or community settings.

This hourly, part-time role offers flexible hours and meaningful daily engagement. Responsibilities include assistance with daily living activities, medication reminders, documenting care, and teamwork with the care staff to promote safety, health, and independence.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Proficient computer skills; EHR experience a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Status:Part-Time Hourly

FLSA classification:Non-Exempt

Schedule: Flexible hours - possible for up to 40 hours per week.

Summary of Position: The Direct Support Professional is an hourly, part-time role dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of adults with developmental disabilities.

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care in home or community settings, ensuring the health and well-being of individuals.
• Assist with daily living activities: hygiene, meals, and medication reminders.
• Support individuals in achieving personal goals and participating in social activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Additional coursework or certification in human services or related fields is a plus.
• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willing to obtain
• Proficient computer skills required; experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage is required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
