Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate, person-centered care for adults with developmental disabilities in home or community settings. This hourly, part-time role focuses on health, safety, and supporting daily living activities.

Flexible scheduling and travel within the community are required. The position emphasizes teamwork, documentation accuracy, and ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills; experience with an EHR system is a plus.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Job description

Schedule: Flexible hours - possible for up to 40 hours per week.

Summary of Position: The Direct Support Professional is an hourly, part-time role dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of adults with developmental disabilities.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Additional coursework or certification in human services or related fields is a plus.
• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willing to obtain
• Proficient computer skills required; experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
