Position Overview
  • Position Type: Non‑exempt, full‑time or part‑time, hourly role.
  • Scope of Role: Provide direct support within a single program or unit; typically supporting 4–6 residents in a residential setting or up to 10 residents in periodic programs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver support in accordance with individual service or program plans, including socialization, health maintenance, medication administration and skill/behavioral development.
  • Assist with daily activities: personal care, housekeeping, recreational activities, transportation, community integration, shopping, citizenship, and other activities of daily living.
  • Accurately document progress and activity; review records and logs to stay abreast of changes in service plans.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the rights of people served.
  • Report abuse, neglect or incidents in accordance with internal and external standards.
  • Follow safety policies, participate in safety training and report hazards.
  • Participate in orientation, ongoing training and monthly staff meetings.
  • Work scheduled hours, arrive on time and remain until shift ends or replacement arrives.
  • Respond to emergencies, including calling 911 and following health care directives.
  • Assist with meal preparation and compliance with dietary plans.
  • Maintain proper vehicle use and report accidents immediately when providing transportation.
  • Perform daily and seasonal housekeeping and maintenance tasks, including yard upkeep and minor repairs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • At least six months of experience in human services (preferred).
  • Minimum age 18.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing and, when required, vehicle registration and insurance.
  • Completion of all state‑required training and certification(s) within mandated timeframes.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently or 20 pounds constantly.
  • Compliance with drug testing and criminal background checks as required by the state.
  • Agreement to have background checks against regulatory registries as required.
  • Mobile Punch Authorized (MPA) for timekeeping.
