Job summary

Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to help people with disabilities live, learn and participate in their communities. DSPs provide daily caregiving in person-supported homes, assisting with meals, hygiene and medication administration, and may help with community activities.

We offer competitive pay, benefits, and training to support your success. Starting pay is $15 per hour with a $1 shift premium on Saturdays and Sundays, plus a tenure pay

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities including meals, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
• Support individuals in the community and at person-supported homes.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to implement therapeutic and behavioral plans.

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone’s life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
