Job summary

Easter Seals of Tennessee is looking for compassionate Direct Support Professionals to help people with disabilities learn, work and play in their communities. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.

We offer $15 per hour starting rate, Tenure Pay Scale, Annual Performance Bonus, and a $1 Shift Premium on Sat & Sun 9a-9p, plus Health Insurance and company-paid Life &

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation.
• Assist with personal hygiene and medication administration.
• Support community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community.
• Facilitate therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff.
• Document care activities and support required daily tasks.

Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
