Job summary

Safe and Secure Healthcare is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help individuals with developmental disabilities live independently, safely, and fully engaged in their communities. Your day may include community outings, assisting with daily living skills, and documenting progress while building meaningful relationships.

Paid training, flexible part-time opportunities, and a supportive team environment are offered to help you grow while making a positive impact on lives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to pass background checks and drug screening.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Medication administration certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Previous DSP or caregiving experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Help individuals participate in community outings, events, and recreational activities.

What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live independently, safely, and fully engaged in their communities.

Your day may include:

  • Helping individuals participate in community outings, events, and recreational activities
  • Supporting personal goals and celebrating achievements
  • Assisting with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care
  • Encouraging independence and confidence
  • Building genuine friendships and positive relationships

Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in direct care or support roles (preferred but not required).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of developmental disabilities and related healthcare needs.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Ability to lift and assist individuals with mobility needs as required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable).
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to complete and pass a background check per company standards.
