Job summary

Integrated Life Choices (ILC) is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. DSPs promote independence, personal growth, and meaningful engagement through person-centered supports and safe daily living activities.

You will work independently, support rights understanding, and help individuals participate in groups aligning with interests, while documenting services accurately at the end

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Background checks including Nebraska Child/Adult Protective Services Central Registry and criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings.
• Maintain consistent engagement with individuals to promote independence and personal growth.
• Provide person-centered supports to meet needs and encourage participation in groups or activities.
• Assist with transportation and daily living activities, including personal hygiene and medication administration as needed.
• Document support provided at each shift end with accurate records.

As a DSP, you will be responsible for maintaining consistent engagement with the people you are supporting, whether they are at home or out in the community. You will be required to work independently, create safe environments, and provide accurate documentation for the support provided during every shift.
