Job summary

Integrated Life Choices (ILC) seeks dedicated Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and community settings. DSPs provide supportive, person-centered care, help individuals pursue goals, and document daily activities with accuracy.

The role emphasizes independence, rights advocacy, and community inclusion. Shifts include daytime, evenings, and weekends; a reliable vehicle is preferred for transportation duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Nebraska background checks (CPS Central Registry) and criminal background checks required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in exercising their rights and living as independently as possible.
• Provide person-centered supports to meet daily needs and goals.
• Assist with transportation and community participation to promote inclusion.
• Document support provided at end of each shift and maintain accurate records.
• Support hygiene and medical-related needs as required and in accordance with plan.

As a DSP, you will be responsible for maintaining consistent engagement with the people you are supporting, whether they are at home or out in the community. You will be required to work independently, create safe environments, and provide accurate documentation for the support provided during every shift.
