Merakey in Newark, DE seeks Direct Support Professionals to join our team. No experience required—paid training is provided—and you will help individuals with daily living activities, housework, and personal care under the supervision of the House Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in a home health aide or school setting working with people who have IDD is preferred.
• No experience required; paid training provided.

• Support residents with daily living activities under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry.
• Support independence by helping with daily tasks under supervision.
• Provide compassionate care and companionship to individuals.
• Document observations and report to the House Manager as needed.

Job description

Your work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager who reviews results through living area observation of activities in progress, residents’ responsiveness, inspection of living area, reports, and periodic meetings.
