Job summary

Phoenix Home Care & Hospice in Lexington, MO is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at home and in the community.

Starting pay is $17 an hour. We offer weekly direct deposit, flexible scheduling, paid training and education, and comprehensive medical plans including spousal coverage for part-time employees, plus referral bonuses and ongoing recognition.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year related Direct Support Professional experience.
• Must be able to assist with daily living activities with patience and empathy.
• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid training prior to first shift.

• Helping with meal preparation and cleanup.
• Supporting light housekeeping and laundry.
• Offering companionship and encouragement.

As a DSP, you will play an important role in helping clients reach their goals, build new skills, and enjoy meaningful experiences while providing compassionate support with daily living activities. Starting pay is $17 an hour.

Your Day Might Include:

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene
• Helping with meal preparation and cleanup

What You’ll Need:

• At least 18 years of age
• Minimum 1 year related DSP experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings
• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid training prior to your first shift
• Level 1 Med Aide Certification preferred
• Availability for at least one weekend per month
