Job summary

Phoenix Home Care & Hospice is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities in Kansas City, MO. Starting pay is $17 per hour, with growth opportunities based on experience and performance.

You will help clients reach personal goals, develop new skills, and enjoy meaningful activities while providing compassionate support for daily living.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and minimum 1 year DSP experience.
• High school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; able to pass background and drug screenings; CPR/First Aid training required before first shift; Level 1 Med Aide Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care and hygiene.
• Help with meal preparation and cleanup.
• Support light housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Provide companionship and encouragement.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or community activities.

Your Day Might Include:

What You’ll Need:

• At least 18 years of age
