Phoenix Home Care & Hospice is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and communities. Location: North Kansas City, MO. Schedule: Monday through Friday 10 am to 5 pm.

You will help clients reach goals, gain skills, and enjoy meaningful activities while providing compassionate daily living support. Requires 18+ years old, 1 year DSP experience, reliable vehicle, and willingness to CPR/First Aid training.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Minimum 1 year related DSP experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings.
• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid training prior to your first shift.
• Level 1 med aide certification preferred.
• Availability for at least one weekend per month.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene.
• Helping with meal preparation and cleanup.
• Supporting light housekeeping and laundry.
• Offering companionship and encouragement.
• Accompanying individuals to appointments, errands, or community activities.
