Job summary

Phoenix Home Care & Hospice is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at home and in the community. This role emphasizes compassionate support with daily living activities, helping clients achieve goals and engage in meaningful experiences.

Position is located in North Kansas City, MO with Monday–Friday 10 am–5 pm shifts. Benefits include paid training, flexible scheduling, and competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Minimum 1 year related DSP experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings.
• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid training prior to your first shift.
• Level 1 med aide certification preferred.
• Availability for at least one weekend per month.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene.
• Helping with meal preparation and cleanup.
• Supporting light housekeeping and laundry.
• Offering companionship and encouragement.
• Accompanying individuals to appointments, errands, or community activities.
